Cabinet Wrapping & Vinyl Wrap Cabinets for Commercial Kitchens
Architectural Wraps Florida is the commercial architectural-finish site for Trim My Crib™ Commercial — the same Venice, FL team at Trim My Crib LLC that scopes and installs these projects. Explore Trim My Crib™ Commercial.
Break-room and kitchenette cabinets take constant use, but the boxes, shelves, and hinges often outlast the finish. Cabinet wrapping replaces the look — dated oak, scuffed laminate, mismatched paint — while keeping the cabinetry that still works.
What cabinet wrapping covers
- Door and drawer fronts
- Exposed end panels, toe kicks, and fillers (scope-dependent)
- Built-in casework, storage walls, copy/mail-room cabinetry
- Coffee bars, hospitality pantries, and back-of-house millwork
Good candidates vs. poor candidates
Usually good: rigid, flat or profiled doors in sound condition; laminate or painted surfaces that can be properly prepared.
Needs evaluation: heavily profiled doors, areas near heat sources (ovens, toasters, coffee machines), or edges subject to constant moisture.
Not candidates until repaired: swollen particleboard, peeling laminate, water damage, loose or failing doors.
Why businesses choose wrapping over replacement
- Keep what works — boxes and layout stay; no countertop or plumbing disruption in many cases.
- Less demolition — no tear-out of usable cabinets (3M highlights reduced construction waste as a DI-NOC benefit).
- Large design range — wood grains, solids, stone, metal (900+ patterns per 3M).
- Cleanability — 3M lists DI-NOC as resistant to common stains, cleaners and disinfectants. Confirm compatibility for your specific cleaning products.
- Operational flexibility — a kitchenette may be worked in sections or after hours, subject to site survey and safety requirements.
Hardware and finishing details
Hardware is typically removed and reinstalled; new hardware is optional. Discuss during the consult.
Food-area note
DI-NOC is a decorative finish for cabinet surfaces — not a food-contact surface. We do not make food-safety or health-code compliance claims; check with your local authority for regulated food-service spaces.
FAQ
Can you wrap laminate cabinets? Often, if the laminate is well bonded and properly prepared. Peeling laminate must be addressed first.
3M’s March 2024 DI-NOC technical data sheet lists an expected performance life of 12 years for indoor, vertical applications. This is a product expectation, not a warranty or a promise for every installation; actual performance depends on the product, surface, installation, environment and care. Ask for the applicable product and project warranty terms.
Can you match our other furniture? Physical samples are provided so you can compare in your lighting.
Do we need to empty the cabinets? Usually yes for the area being worked — details are set during scheduling.
